About the Event

 

Please join us is a community conversation where you can learn more about the Midwives and Doulas that serve your community and the amazing work they are doing today to serve and uplift our Black and Brown families.

The seminar will be hosted by Doula YtheG - A doula is a professional trained in childbirth who provides emotional, physical, and education support to a mother who is expecting, experiencing labor, or has recently given birth. The doula's purpose is to help women have a safe, memorable, and empowering birthing experience.

The seminal will also be hosted by Midwife Sakina O'UHuru - A midwife is a trained health professional who helps healthy women during labor, delivery, and after the birth of their babies. Midwives may deliver babies at birthing centers or at home, but most can also deliver babies at a hospital.

After a small presentation about the service both care providers offer we will open the discussion for a Q & A.

*All family is welcomed, partners of pregnant mums are highly encouraged to attended also birth workers.
